A valid passport and visa are required to enter China. Americans arriving without valid passports and the appropriate visa may not be permitted to enter and will be subject to a fine and immediate deportation at the traveler's expense.

Please follow the instructions below. After you read all the instructions, if you have any questions, call us at 1-800-806-0581 before you start the process.

Send us your current valid and signed passport. It must not expire within 6 months and must have at least one blank visa page. If you do not have any blank visa pages in your passport, you must first amend your passport to have pages added. A Briggs will secure your visa using the added pages. If your passport expires within six months, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.

Send 1 visa application form completed and signed with your signature in blue ink.

China Visa Application

You must submit 1 passport photograph taken by a passport photographer. Digital and non-passport photographs are not acceptable.

Passport Photo Requirements

Non-US passport holders must submit a copy of their green card or valid US visa.

NOTE: When the applicant is requesting a visa other then a single or double entry 3 month visa, include the request in a letter. For example Mr. Jones is requesting a 1 year double entry. This sentence can be in the business cover letter.

NOTE: Processing times are business days. The first day begins the day after your package is received by A Briggs except in the case of pre-arranged same day service when available. Prices are per applicant.

The A Briggs fees are:

$55.00 for regular service for which we secure your visa from the Embassy in its normal time of issuance; or

$125.00 for rush service for which we secure your visa as quickly as the Embassy will issue it.

If Paying by Credit Card
You may pay your consular fees via credit card when filling out our online order form.

If Paying by Check
Send a money order for the consular fees payable to the Embassy of China. The payment to the Embassy must be a money order. Personal checks are not accepted.

Business visa applicants must submit visa notification forms from an authorized Chinese unit, invitaitons from a Chinese host company, OR letter from a U.S. company indicating purpose of travel, duration and moral and financial responsibilities. Applicants for China visas who were born in China must submit either their China passport or a prior U.S. passport with a China visa in the passport.

Visas are required to transit China. Persons transiting China on the way to and from Mongolia or North Korea or who plan to re-enter from the Hong Kong or Macao Special Administrative Regions must obtain visas allowing multiple entries.

Special permits are required to visit Tibet as well as many remote areas not normally open to foreigners.

Single-entry visas must be used within 3 months of issue. Double-entry visas must be used in 3 or 6 months, but usually are issued for use within 3 months.

Multiple-entry visas are issued for use within either 6 or 12 months, depending on the invitation. You are allowed to stay in China for up to 30 days at a time.

Processing times are business days and do not include shipping time. Keep this in mind when placing your order. We count “days” the same way the passport office and embassies count days: if we receive and submit the document on Monday, then Tuesday is the first day, Wednesday is two days, etc. (we do submit documents every business day).

All applicants selecting 2 day processing must provide a flight itinerary.

A traveler that selects 4-day visa processing from the embassy may experience fulfillment times of up to 7 days including shipping.

The order form gives us your name, address, shipping information and payment method. Multiple applicants can be entered using one order form. Please print two copies of the confirmation page. Include one copy with the documents you ship to us and keep one copy for your records.

Saturday Delivery is an additional $14 when available to US destinations.
